Kris and Kayley met in November of 2011 via Plenty of Fish, the dating site. They spent the next few months getting to know one another better. Often taking trips to visit each other as Kris and Kayley lived in different cities over an hour away. Kris will tell you he fell in love with Kayley within minutes. Kayley took a little more time, I mean, she is the more realistic of the two. On January 2nd, 2012, Kris and his friends were spending the New Years hiking in Winthrop. That's when Kris got a call from Kayley saying Kayley's parents were visiting and she would like them to meet. With Winthrop over 150 miles away in eastern Washington, Kris wasted no time to drop what he was doing and rush back to Seattle before the parents left. Well, he made it just in time to meet the family and they decided to make it official on January 3rd, 2012 at 1am. They spent the next 6 years adventuring, laughing, growing, and most importantly becoming best friends. On May 8th, 2017 Kris took Kayley on a beautiful hike to a sandy river beach in Granite falls and asked Kayley for her hand in marriage . . . . AND SHE SAID YES!
